A Classic Wedding Band for Mark Owen
Take That singer Mark Owen has just tied the knot with his beautiful bride Emma Furguson. They got married in the remote Scottish Highlands at Cawdor Parish Church. At 6pm, under a shower of rose petals, they emerged from the Church as husband and wife. Mark proudly held up his left hand to show off his wedding band a traditional gold band. There were around 50 guests including the other Take That singers Gary Barlow, Jason Orange and Howard Donald.
Gold Wedding Band Facts
The exchanging of wedding bands at a wedding is one of the most traditional events of the day. Wearing a wedding ring is not a legal requirement but grooms and brides have been putting rings on each other’s fingers for centuries. It shows your love and commitment for each other. The shape of the traditional wedding band is a circle which symbolises eternity and that your marriage lasts forever. The wedding band is placed on your left hand because the vein from this finger goes directly to the heart. The classic wedding band of today is made from gold or platinum but in the past you could be presented with a ring made from hair or grass. One of my friends and their husband had a tattoo wedding band!
Classic Gold Wedding Bands
Mark Owen and Emma Ferguson wore classic yellow gold rings. Many couples choose a classic yellow or white gold or platinum ring. They look stylish and are a classic choice to show your devotion to each other. Gold wedding bands may look plain but they actually come in a wide choice of widths and shapes. Here are some of our most popular wedding bands:
